I was hoping this would be button-activated, spring-loaded deploy but it is just a simple 3 section steel baton. Two sections are heavy gage steel tube, and the end is a solid steel rod. It deploys with a flick of the wrist and locks via friction. There is enough friction to make it stiff enough to make a good poker for your opponent's face. To retract, you have to poke the ground to get enough impact to overcome the friction. It is held retracted by the rubber cover, which overhangs the end.
The flashlight is very bright. It is only about 2 inches long. It makes the baton look like a long flashlight - good camouflage! |
