Medieval Kettle Hat Helmet MASK10 - Medieval Weapons
Crafted from strong 18 gauge carbon steel with full leather lining and a chin strap, this Medieval Kettle Hat Helmet is a beautiful re-creation of a kettle helm worn during the 13th century. The kettle hat perhaps stands as the ultimate victory of form over function- while lacking the high grace or extravagance of a knightly helmet like the bascinet or great helm, it offers excellent visibility with some face and neck protection as well as increased protection from projectiles or attacks from above- to a pikeman on foot, it is the ideal protection from a knight swinging his sword on horseback. Its relative lightness also means that the Kettle Helm can be worn comfortably for longer periods of time than knightly helms. Material: 18 Gauge, Low carbon, Mild steel Forehead Circumference: 23.5 In (approximate) Height: 7 Inches Width: 14 Inches Length: 14 Inches
