I bought this sword to gift for a friend. It's hard finding a quality sword without spending hundreds. The blade quality of the sword is worth the price alone. I had it engraved as part of the gift and the engraver even marveled at the hardness of the steel and said he'd need to keep it a couple extra days to really let the markings take. That gave me confidence that I made made a good choice and am very proud to give this to my friend.
