The blade you see here is made from EN45 carbon steel with a fuller to balance and lighten the blade.  Speaking of the blade, it comes oiled to prolong to prolong its life. The blade has no edge so it is great for costumes or re-enactments.  The guard is made in traditional cutlass style that looks like a leaf that curves up into the pommel.  The handle is wooden and wrapped in Rexin. The pommel is peened with a full tang construction.  The entire piece has a dark antique finish to simulate age and make it look like an authentic pirate replica. The scabbard is made from wood that has been also wrapped in rexin. A frog stud is provided on the steel locket of the chape. Overall Length: 31 Inches.
